About Grandma's Front Porch
Grandma's Front Porch is a private place for our family to gather — by blood, by marriage, or as the kind of friend who's always felt like family. It's not a public website, and it's not trying to be Facebook. It's meant to feel like sitting on a porch together: comfortable, familiar, and worth coming back to.
What you can do here
- Family Tree — an interactive tree anyone can add to or fill in details on, built from what our family actually knows about itself, not a template.
- Backyard Tales — every name, story, and remembrance gathered from around the site, woven into one running family history.
- Photo Album— share photos and tag who's in them.
- Events — birthdays, weddings, reunions, and everything else worth marking on the family calendar.
- Family Globe — a map of where everyone lives now, and where the family has been.
- Family Files — a place to drop old documents, scans, or spreadsheets for safekeeping.
Who it's for
Anyone with the family invite code — relatives by blood or marriage, and trusted family friends considered as good as blood. It's not open to the general public.
A living project
This site keeps growing as the family adds to it — new names, new stories, new photos. If something's missing or wrong, anyone can suggest a fix right on the page it belongs to, and the changes go live right away.
